When launching a start-up, founders think of everything that needs to be done to establish a professional company. New features, new users, and ways to create a unique business come to mind most of the time. Most founders often neglect that everything valuable to the start-up needs to be protected in that early stage. As shown in a report on the „State of Cybersecurity in Small & Medium-Sized Businesses“ by the Ponemon Institute, the percentage of targeted small and medium-sized companies reached 66 % in 2019. Due to a lack of security in the primary stage, start-ups are most vulnerable in their first 18 months.
